HYMN 22 Indra

1

He who alone bestoweth wealth on mortal man who offereth gifts,
Is Indra only, potent Lord whom none resist.

2

Whoever with the Soma pressed draws thee away from many men,-
Verily Indra gains thereby tremendous power.

When willhe trample, like a weed, the man who hath no gift for him?
When, verily, will Indra hear our songs of praise?
