HYMN 6 Agni

Agni we choose as envoy, skilled performer of this holy rite,
Hotar, possessor of all wealth.

With constant calls they invocate Agni, Agni, Lord of the house,
Oblation-bearer, much-beloved

Bring the Gods hither, Agni, born for him who trims the Sacred grass:
Thou art our Hotar, meet for praise!
